Hey y'alls. My mom let me use her compy and right now I am in gorgeous Telluride. OMFG. It's so beautiful. I've decided that this is the place that I want to get married. Of course I told Caitlin that I first have to get a guy willing to go out with a homley border chick like me...Does that even fit together? If it doesn't well then I'm unique. Haha. So lemme give you the "lo' down" on this crazy expensive place.
So on Sunday we packed up the car and left, and sooch. The night before I had had a really hard time packing because I was tired from band camp, lolz, and I was too preoccupied with the Harry Potter final instalment. Haha man I was so freaking excited about it!!!!!!! I read it for like four hours so when I got in the car I was so incredibly tired. But I spent the majority of the car ride reading. The only time I took a break was when we stopped to eat lunch and then I drove for two hours from Vail to Grand Junction. But that was it, the rest of the time I was completely enveloped in the action packed adventure of Ron, Harry and Hermione. Whoo. I ended up finishing Monday evening. This was the fastest I've ever read a Harry Potter book and I think it was the longest one, was it not? Well, right now I'm kinda rereading the last few chapters cuz they are so amazing. Not the Epilogue. That was actually not very cool.
K so anyways. Vacation. Once I escaped the book, this is what we did: Took a Jeep tour to the top of the mines, that was sweet, only there was this kid there who had to tell everyone he was wearing two shirts and two pairs of underwear. Greeeeeeeaaaat.... N E Ways today was most likely the most action packed day of the whole trip. We got up semi early and took a tour on segways. Yes the things the rent-a-cops ride at Belmar. They are so fucking fun. I felt like a badass with my headset and helmet and little fanny pack right on the front of the thing. It was pretty BAMF. Later on we kinda walked around a little, Hannah and I got so crepes from this little kiosk thing, and I spoke to the lady in French. It was actually a lot of fun. I discovered that despite the fact I haven't spoken the language in a couple months, I'm still pretty much fluent in it. Except for the fact that I said I leaned in my Church. Oops. But yeah, it was funny, the lady was all excited. She was talking about how she rarely gets to speak in her normal language and stuff. I felt bad for her, the only French she's in contact with are stupid high school American students who don't know the difference between a high school and a church. Lolz. Hmmm, yes well. After the crepes, we ate lunch at this BBQ place, it was gross.
I called Jared and wanted to know when he was actually going to make it into the town, since his family is taking a road trip all over the state. Kinda neat, he stopped here for a night. So later, we met up and went to dinner and it was good times. After dinner we rode the gondola up over the mountain back to the other side and all the way back. On the first way up, there were other people sitting in the, what the guy called the "pimp car". We tried to see, with out really stating it, how far we could take it in annoying them. It was amusing to say the least. On the second half, coming up and back from the otherside of the mountain, we had the car to ourselves. This was when it got a little outta hand. We each laid down on one of the benches in the cabin thing, then decided to lie underneath the seats and pop out when someone tried to get into the car with us. Well, needless to say it worked, and they stopped trying to get in our car, and just waited for another one. They gave us weird looks and I imagine they were chatting about us for a while. But man, we were laughing soooooo freaking hard. It was amazing!!! Then our conversation got a little strange, as it always does when you're with Jared. But we were still laughing a heck of a lot. We said good bye once we got off cuz his parents had just drove up even though that was just coincidence. Yeaaaah.
That was basically my vacation. Tomorrow we're leaving Telluride and going to Glennwood Springs to go to the pool...but that pool smells like sulfur. lol. No wonder. But yeah, I have to go just because I have some stuff to do before I go to bed and I'm really tired. Riding those freaking Segways takes a lot outta you. It's hard work trying to look cool and be a tourist at the same time!!! Well, TTYL!!!
