Where is the Love?
The shooting up at Platte Canyon High has gotten me kinda shaken up. I just wonder how peoples' minds can get so screwed up that they get an idea like that. I mean seriously, what causes people to wake up and say "I think I'll go the the high school, kidnapp two girls, molest them, shoot them if they run, then kill myself today."? I can't understand how this stuff can happen. It's terrible. It's been 5 years since 9/11 and its been around 9 years since Columbine. We were so little when that happened, the only person I know who was actually there was a freshman when it happened, and now she's graduated college.
It just makes me wonder, is there anything we can do to survive? Or are the people who make it 'till they're 98 and die in their sleep just too lucky? How long do we have left? Will I die tomorrow? Will someone I love? It makes it that much more important to live your life like you know exactly when it will end, and like it will be in two hours. Make sure you let the people who are important in your know life that you love them. And if you really do
love them, tell 'em, cuz if it doesn't recieve the same result you wanted, then life goes on. But if for some reason it doesn't, you won't have any regrets. And it makes me sick sometimes, how people worry so much about the dumbest stuff. The world will not end if your clothes rip, if you don't have a boyfriend, if you get something other than an A in math. Can everyone just shut up for a second an listen to everything that's really going on? Hear the screams of the kids in Africa from hunger, the bombs in the middle east, and the gun shots in our schools. The crash of metal from a drunk persons car slamming into an innocent teen's, your own heart beating in your chest. These things are all real, these things all matter. It could be your school picture or your best friend's on the news the next evening, and then everything else never matters again. Quit focusing on the things in your life that you don't have, or that aren't perfect, and be grateful for the people in your life, your parents, freinds and teachers. Be thankful for rules so that when these atrocities do happen, there is a consequence. Reach out to the ones who aren't sure if they will get to eat that day, be grateful that you aren't one of them, be happy you have a warm bed to sleep in every night, and remeber: that could all be taken away in an instant.
But the most important thing to do is: be happy. Live like you will not have another chance, take joy in everything. Don't focus on stuff that makes you miserable so that you don't have to look back and say "I wish I had done that" or "What if?". Love your friends, love your family, love yourself.

Jeffco.
Last night was the Jeffco. Invitational Marching Competition. *smirk* Our show was not too bad actually, I felt it went pretty well anyways. My shoe was untied for the entire thing tho, lol. But yeah, overall, I think it was great, we scored 71 anyways. After the show, we all were sternly talked to about how "It was ok, but we definitley have some things we need to work on", then we changed, grabed our dinners and went to the stands. Sangkuk and Trevor thought it would be a grand idea to completely embarass me, and shout "Alan, Ellie still loves yooooooooooooou!" right before Lakewood took the field. I was somewhat horrified, and was half expecting him to turn around. Well, we watched the rest of the bands, their shows were cool, I liked the band with the rice hats, didn't understand the show with the boat, and stuff, but it was a large time. I was going to go to Denny's, but didn't feel like arguing with my dad over really bad service, I hate cell phones sometimes. So I guess marching season is underway now? Sweet.

Weeee.
Last night, I went to the dance, and it was soo much fun! I had an absolute blast. Mitch came over to my house 'bout 6:15 ish, and we took pictures. Many, many pictures, hehe. One person, usually my dad, would say, "Ok my turn next, look over here," but then everyone else would take one at the same time. Well, we went inside to warm up a bit, and to wait for Trevor and Sarah to arrive. They did, in very festive masks, lol, and we...took more pictures. I usually don't like having my picture taken, but last night it was fun, many crazy poses and shots taken in the middle of someone moving or talking, XD. Then we left for the restaurant, and we ate our food, it was incredibly delicious! I'm not sure exactly who is best with chopsticks, but I know that I lose, haha. We ate some vegetarian lettuce wraps, chicken lo mien, lemon pepper shrimp and this HUMONGUS piece of chocolate cake, which was amazing!
We left the restaurant and headed to the school, where we had to wait outside for a while before we could get in, and it was pretty cold outside, my back was freezing. We finally got inside and Sarah and I checked our bags and shoes-it was so gross walking around barefoot by the way, but I survived it-then we headed to the gym, or dance floor. Something was bothering Lana, so I went with her to make her feel better, then I went and danced with everyone else once she found Ariel. The music was fun, although it was basically all the same, hip hop stuff. It's not my favorite style of music, but it's really fun to dance to if you get into it. We all kept on dancing for a while, there were quite a few slow songs, way more than last year, and some of them I wouldn't have picked, just cuz their "messages" or "moods" weren't quite right, but hey, I'm not complaining at all! Although I certainly wasn't expecting Trevor to come running into Mitch and I at the end of one of them, lol. But yeah, anyways, it was a lot of fun, best time I've ever had at a dance.

I said let me see your happy dance!
Homecoming, the game anyways, was last night! Therefore, many fun things took place through out the whole day. I only had to go to English, but got to miss AP, but I'm not so terribly happy about that, because I have to find a way to make up the stupid discussion. Dumb teachers, never telling you exactly what they want you to do... But yeah, yesterday was fun. We marched in that parade, well, more like danced. Brooke and I brought it! Haha. Well, when we got to the school, the weather was starting to get cold, I ate some food and stood outside long enough to see Air Bands (btw, I saw the actual performance, it was pretty fun!!) , but that was it. I went inside with Hayley, Danielle and Sharon, we went into the autitorium, cuz I knew some of the guys would be in there. We played spotlight tag, I got all banged up from crawling on the ground though, XD. Well, when too many people were just coming in, we decided to switch games. So we spun each other on a blanket like we did last year. Sooooo much fun! Chad spun me once, I fell off and hit my head, there's a little bruise, but you have to push on it all hard to find it, XD. Mitch spun me too, and I let go on purpose, went sprawling. It was so sweet. Then Mariah got out her flags, I messed around with one for a little bit. Then we had rehersal.
Marching band went till about 4:30, when most people left to go to dinner, I didn't have food, but my mommie brought me Chipotle. Mmmmm. We changed and stuff, and got onto the bus. The game was fun, especially since I was like, the only one who understood football, XD. So I tried to explain to a bunch of people, didn't work so well. Our show went ok, till the pod rotation set. Grrrr...I hate it soooooo much!!!!! Well, we won 27:7. It was a large time. I nearly lost my voice from singing-screamin on the bus ride home! But it was the most fun I've ever had at a football game before!!! Yay homecoming!
La Danse est demain. Je suis nerveuse, mais je ne peux pas attentre! EEE!!
Au revoir mes amis!!! Je vous aime!

Another Week Down.
Well, another week of my sophomore year has passed. Marching band update: We have most of our show on, only another 8 sets to go! Today in the band room, Sullivan was saying he doesn's to learn drill anymore, he wants to move on to the cleaning and stuff, cuz supposedly that's the "fun" part. He thinks that once we start cleaning we won't hear "forward" "rewind" "forward" "reset" "forward" "rewind" etc. But once we're cleaning, it's not like we'll run through everything and say it's done, lol. We'll still have to do the back-up, go on stuff. I can't belive he won't be here our senior year. I honestly can't imagine it, and the other day, he made me cry when I thought about it. Who cries when their teachers leave?! I think our class has the biggest connection with him, which just makes it that much worse too. I am going to miss him so much. I guess it wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't going to be our senior year! We've all known (pretty much all of us anyways) that this day would come since fifth grade, but it's never seemed so real. Stupid juniors. Aww, damit now I feel like crying again. High school sucks!
I went to Kendra's house today after band to work on the freshman initiation. Whee. It's so much more fun when you are not going to be the recipiant. Lol. But it should be exciting tomorrow morning!! I shall bring a camera! Anyways, the lions should be coot.
Homecoming is in a week. I am really excited, we're going to PF Changs too! So that should be yummy. I keep trying my dress on cuz I feel so amazing in it! Can't wait, yay!
Bye,

*Breaths Heavily* I survived!
I had to go on Trevor's myspace to get some info about someone (Yes, we all know I'm a pedophile, XD, jk). All of a sudden, I was being sucked into the blackest hole of the internet!!! I was looking at Trevor's friends, so then I clicked on Carissa's page...well, I watched her New York picture show thingy, so then I went back to Trevor's. Clicked on Mitch's...I never knew he had one. But it was...interesting. Lol. But it's all ok, I realized what was happening, and I escaped somehow! *non-Myspace fans cheer* I don't want one ever again! Lol. I will fight the man!
Enough about that. Today was another hilarious day! Whoo for Wednesdays! They are officially my favorite day! Um, during 5th, I practiced my flute until Sullivan came in to refill the pop machine, then Mariah and I messed around with the color gard flags and I am seriously contemplating about whether or not I should do the color gard class thing next semester. Cuz I have a lot of fun with it, and I wouldn't have to worry about Sarah Reid coming in and yelling at me for holding Mariah's flag, which is dumb, since I use Mariah and she uses the extra one. Sarah's reason is that I don't touch their flags, they don't touch our instruments, but if she wanted, I'd let Mariah play my flute, so if she wants to let me play with her flag, why is it a problem? Anyways, then I went outside! Wheeee...
We all stood around for awhile, till Trevor and Joe began playing nut ball. It wasn't as funny as when Jesus and Trevor did it, especially since Joe would scream even if the bottle didn't come with in 3 feet of hitting him. So then Mitch and Trevor played, and Mitch basically dominated. (This is weird blogging about this stuff, feels akward, so I'll stop, it was just funny lol)
After lunch, we went into the band room, and nominated Jesus as honorary band kid of the day. Winner of "Band kid for a day" get's to stand in parade block while taking attendance, and his mission is to go through Sullivan's announcements with out being caught. This brings great humor to his friends.
Ya, that was my day, somewhat lame, but that's why you are here, and not Myspace! HA! I WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIOTCH!

I saw my mommie cow today!
Today was a rather happy day. I had lots of energy, kind of, and it wasn't such a stressful day as yesterday, probably since I only have two classes on Wendesday. For the first half of 5th, Mariah and I went and sat on the hill outside the science hall/autitorium and talked for a while, about many various subjects. Well, when topics to discus were exausted, she taught me some of the color gard work. I can actually do it, but it takes me a while since she does it so fast I can't see how she puts her hands. Then mine get all twisted and I mess up. Oh well, it's still lots of fun. Sometimes I wish I could be in color gard to do the cool work, but not have to deal with drama. But, I can't dance, I can just throw stuff, XD. But I did try to teach her the flute dances anyways.
Well, around 12:00 I went to the parking lot and my mommie picked me up! ^_^ My Cow-Mommie that is. We went to Chipotle, and it was lots of fun. Many giggles. Ugh, I was so full. Then we went to my house, she played with my kitty, and then just
had to see my dress, and then we had to leave. Got back to school, and said bye. I hung out with the guys for a while, Trevor cut his leg...put some Tag on it. Btw dude, my mom says you will get gangreen (how
is that spelled?). So now I smell like a man because Sangkuk grabbed the can and was spraying it all over the place, lol. Well, then we had band, joy, I love standing upright for 4 hours, lol. It wasn't that bad, I now no longer get lost in that one section of the drill, and we got our entire second movement on the field, so that's good. Sometimes though, I wish I was a junior so I could help fix the sets. But I really am trying to not boss people, since I shouldn't.
I have so much homework tonight, and tomorrow night, it's not even funny. I didn't even do last weekend's AP reading...oops. So I guess I have to go now, and get that started. A bientot, mes amis!

Tu ne devrais pas regarder le soleil directement!
So not much happened today. Got up, took a shower, got dressed, makeup, blah blah. We drove to Haley's house, the car ride was really silent till the Croc Hunter was brought up. So let me clarify my postion about this. I do find it sad he died, especially when you think about his family. However, it had to happen, and I think I find the way he died funny, instead of the fact that he died. But I mean common, every one expected him to die after being bitten by a croc and then bleeding to death. Who could have forseen him being stung by a sting ray
in the heart?! I guess if you're going to be bitten by extremely poisonous snakes and crocs and surviving, that would be the way to go. I half expected him to die a normal death, that would be so ironic. Like being hit by a car, or in a terrorist attack or something. Not by a sting ray. Especially since those things don't really attack anyways. W/e, so I just had to clear up my position a bit I guess. Joy, it's block day tomorrow, only 2 classes! And they are ones I can stand. Although band is a lot longer, it should be kind of fun. Maybe. I had a really hard time paying attention today. Lol. Well, hurrah, French homework. TTFN.

Confused, lost, stressed, freaked, excited...
Ugh, too many emotions. There's a lot going on in my life right now, I'm trying to juggle grievances with people, school, and other drama. I sound like a messed up soccer mom, XD. Hmm, the second week of school is over, but already I have had so much to do I'm ready to start pulling out my hair. And it's done wonders to my immune and...uhhh...hormonal systems? So if I snap at you I appologise. Maybe. XD Caitlin helped me last night though, she got me to calm down about a particular issue I'm dealing with, and we've started to stratigize what to do about it.
Friday I went to Mitch's house and we hung out for a little while there. We played Scene it for about an hour, and Mitch and I kicked ass. Lol, except for the final cut questions, what was up with those? Lol. We at pizza, Alex showed up, argued about watching a movie or not, Haley and Amy went upstairs and baked brownies for Rachel, Mitch, Alex and I threw cards at each other and watched Weird Al videos downstairs. Omg, what is that guy on? It was really funny though. Cake...mmm, cake. Then we drove to Rachel's, door bell ditched her and drove off. That was the night. Well, happy birthday Mitch and Haley. In two days anyways.
Right now my family is at a Willie Nelson concert. *puke* I not-so-politely refused to attend, I know all the songs, my dad listens to it over...and over...and over. Never ever give that man a 6 CD changer again, cuz he does the opposite. He just doesn't change his CDs so they constantly replay about every 12 hours. It's either that, or the killing of animals with trumpets. Your pick! So I've got the house to myself for a little while longer. It's nice, I just eat the whole time and then listen to my music on my computer. Saweet!
Well, that's all for now. Ta ta for now.
